A Project Director is now required to be the key representative for Nuclear New Build programs in Europe. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven capability of successfully leading complex, largescale power projects. He or She will work hand in hand with the partners to ensure the venture's success in winning and executing new projects.
Job Title: Project Director
Overview
Reporting to the General Manager of Nuclear Division , you will assume a high profile role as the key representative within the program to put together to tender for and deliver a range of new Nuclear Power Stations in the UK.
Main Responsibilities
* To act as the clients main interface and representative.
* Providing the commercial and technical skills to support new power generation projects and further business development in the UK and elsewhere.
* Supporting tender preparation, and overseeing successful project execution from award to final hand-over to client.
* Working to achieve time, cost and specification objectives.
* Management of the design, supply and installation of large steam turbines rated 1000MW+, turbine auxiliary systems and associated plant to include turbogenerators, condensing and feedheating plant.
* Working closely with Commercial, Operational, Business Development and Procurement teams.
Essential Requirements / Experience
* Extensive project management experience demonstrating successful delivery of projects in the power, energy or nuclear sectors from inception to completion.
* Appreciation of power industry technologies and practice, Good knowledge of current CDM.
* Someone punctual, organised and driven / ambitious / assertive.
* Someone showing the confidence to put forward their ideas and play a proactive role.
* Someone who values being part of a team, and can play an active part in the team.
* High level of Commercial and Contractual awareness.
* A willingness to travel, some travel to project locations will be required
Qualifications
* Bachelor degree in Engineering or another related subject.
* Chartered Member of an appropriate professional engineering institution
